This is part of a lumber mill in northern Maine that a friend has on his farm. It was late afternoon when I noticed how the sun was hitting the left front of the building and the shadows that were created. I stepped to the left of the outside and saw the beautiful shadows there along with many wildflowers. I took a picture to be able to recreate that beautiful, peaceful scene on the farm with oil paints in my studio. I used a limited palette of just the 3 primary colors.
